About

Wacode 2026 is Baylor's largest student hackathon to benefit social change in Waco and beyond. The event begins with a networking, setup, and info session, followed by an intensive day of coding and workshops where you and your team will create and present a new technology to compete for prizes. FAQ

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is a timed, team-based event where you design and build a project—often software—and show a demo at the end. It is collaborative and creative work, not malicious “hacking.”

Who can participate?

All Baylor students are eligible, including all majors and skill levels. Workshops and tools will be provided, and AI use is encouraged.

How do I register?

Complete the Registration form; team details can be finalized during or after signup. If you don't have a team we'll help you find one.

What projects are eligible?
Any project that supports social impact and can be built into a clear proof of concept within the event timeframe. Examples include:

  • Standalone application
  • iOS/Android application
  • n8n automation/integration
  • Website
  • Database
  • Scripts/Webscrapers
What should I bring?

Bring your laptop, charger, Baylor ID, and any required software installed beforehand. Meals will be provided.

What if I don't know how to code?

Workshops for beginners will be hosted by ACM which will introduce you to beginner friendly tools and languages.

Food?

Free food will be provided for the entirety of the event.
